Compare his Stats with the ones of the Other South American Players here

Victor Pecci was a dominant Offensive player and this was a bit uncommon for a clay court specialist. In total 77% of his points were won at the net (with or without a volley to play) and this was far above average. He could vary all kind of net approaches: serve & volley, 1-2 punch & baseline approach. He also possessed an excellent hand at the net.

Offensive / Very high

From the back of the court, Victor Pecci could Punch with the forehand. However, this was when he followed his forehand to the net that he was really effective with this shot.

Puncher / Medium

Victor Pecci couldn't be regarded as a Tempo player at all. Tempo players play close to the baseline and take the ball on the rise and this wasn't his case.

Tempo / Low

For a clay court player, Victor Pecci had an excellent Serve and he took a big edge with this shot against his rivals. However, his ratio of aces/service winners was just below average (26%) and this was mainly due to the clay court that slowed his Serve down.

Serve / Medium-high

Winning only 26% of his points by the errors of his rivals, Victor Pecci couldn't be regarded as a Retriever. However, the way he played the backhand with slice was in a Retrieving way or an Offensive way when he followed that shot to the net.

Retriever / Medium-low
